A hat trick in soccer is when a player scores three goals in a single game. This is a rare and impressive feat, and is often celebrated with the player receiving a hat as a symbol of their achievement. A hat trick is especially rare in soccer because goals are relatively scarce in the sport, and it takes a lot of skill and luck to score three times in a single match. The term "hat trick" is thought to have originated in cricket, where it referred to a bowler taking three wickets in three consecutive deliveries, but it has been adopted by
many other sports, including soccer, to describe any impressive achievement by an individual player.

New YouTube Video: Android Lollipop - When Will You Get It?

Here are some early hands-on images with the Nexus 9 (video)

The Nexus 9 launched yesterday and by now you’ve probably seen a ton of press images and renders. But there’s nothing like real, honest hands-on images of a device to make an impression of its look and feel.

The well-connected folks from Vietnamese website Tinhte have got their hands on a beautiful Nexus 9 tablet and some of its accessories and put them through an impromptu photo-shoot.

The Nexus 9 will be available in black, white, and tan, with all versions offering a soft touch back, a slim profile, and brushed metal frames. The device is under 8 millimeter in thickness, and relatively light at 425 grams (Wi-Fi version). Few will deny that Google and HTC did a smashing job here, mixing the no-frills charm previous Nexus devices were known for with a dose of HTC-infused elegance.

With that, we’ll leave the images do talking.

One (M8) with Lollipop spotted in Bluetooth docs, as HTC promises speedy updates

HTC was one of the several Android OEMs that promised speedy updates to Android L. Like OnePlus, HTC said it would rollout Lollipop to most devices in its roster within 90 days.

If a filing in the Bluetooth SIG database is any indication, HTC is already hard at work testing and adapting Lollipop to the One (M8).

As spotted by G4Games, the filing is for a device with the code number 0P6BXXX, which in the past has been associated with HTC’s flagship. The document, which clearly mentions Android 5.0, was filed just before the official launch of Lollipop yesterday, and made public today.

To be clear, this listing doesn’t necessarily mean that the big Lollipop update to the HTC One (M8) is imminent. It’s just an encouraging sign that HTC is going to keep its promise, at a time when speedy updates are a must-have for many Android users. The fact that HTC had early access to Android 5.0 thanks to its collaboration to Google for the Nexus 9 is another positive sign that HTC users won’t be left far behind their Nexus-toting brethren.

After the launch of Lollipop yesterday, HTC confirmed on Twitter that it would bring Lollipop within 90 days to its 2013 and 2014 lineup. This includes the M8 and M7 hero devices, but also smaller players like the 2013 One Mini, which was specifically confirmed by HTC.

Besides HTC and OnePlus, Motorola also laid out its plans for the Lollipop jump, and we expect other OEMs to do the same over the next days and weeks.

Nexus 7 (2012) will also officially see Android 5.0 Lollipop

When Android 4.4 KitKat arrived on scene, we saw the Galaxy Nexus left out of the party, though unofficial efforts eventually brought the OS to the handset nonetheless. So now that Android 5.0 Lollipop is on its way out, you might be wondering if any Nexus devices will see their retirement this year.
Initially, Google’s announcement post only revealed the OS would arrive for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 10 and GPe devices. Thankfully since then we’ve learned that theNexus 4 will also be included, and now it seems that the Nexus 7 (2012) isn’t being left out either. Part of the appeal of the Nexus family has been the promise of long-term, quick updates so it’s good to see Google keeping its promise for owners of the (little over) two year-old tablet.
For Nexus 7 (2012) owners, will the arrival of Lollipop be enough to keep you satisfied for a while longer, or are you considering upgrading to a newer tablet? Perhaps the Nexus 9?
